Specializing In . . .

Anxiety

Anxiety can feel like a constant, unwanted companion influencing how we perceive and interact with the world. Feeling out of control, constantly worried, or unable to make decisions can make every day seem incredibly overwhelming. Together, we can explore coping strategies and techniques to help you regain control and find peace in your daily life.

Trauma

Trauma can leave lasting imprints on our minds and bodies, affecting how we navigate relationships, work, and daily life. My focus is providing a safe and supportive environment for healing from trauma and moving forward. Through evidence-based therapies and a trauma-focused lens, I can help you reclaim your sense of safety, trust in yourself, and empowerment.

Bipolar / Depression

Depression and bipolar disorder are complex mental health conditions that can significantly impact daily life. Whether experiencing persistent sadness, struggling with low motivation and daily tasks, or navigating the highs and lows of bipolar episodes, seeking support is crucial. During sessions we will collaborate to understand your unique experiences, develop coping skills to manage symptoms, and cultivate resilience.

LGBTQIA+

It can be difficult to find a healthcare practitioner that provides affirming care for individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions. It is a top priority for me to offer a safe and inclusive space where LGBTQIA+ individuals can explore their unique experiences, challenges, and identities. I am dedicated to providing affirming and culturally competent care, supporting clients on their journey towards self-discovery, acceptance, and authenticity.

Suicidality / Self-Harm

At times, individuals may experience thoughts of self-harm or suicide, which can be incredibly distressing. These thoughts are often a sign of deep emotional pain and should never be ignored. I can help you explore the underlying issues, develop coping strategies, and work towards healing and recovery with compassion and grace. Your well-being is paramount, and together, we can navigate through these challenges towards a brighter, more hopeful future.

Therapeutic Approaches

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is based on the idea that our thoughts influence our emotions and actions, so by changing negative thought patterns, we can improve how we feel and behave. CBT is a collaborative process aimed at identifying and changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors to improve your overall well-being.

Integrative

Integrative therapy combines different therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to each individual’s needs. The goal is to integrate the most effective elements of different therapies to provide comprehensive support and achieve the best outcomes for the client.

Person-Centered

The focus of person-centered therapy is on facilitating the client’s self-discovery and self-acceptance, helping them to access their own inner resources and find their own solutions to their problems. The therapist provides support and guidance as the client explores their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Trauma-Focused

Trauma-focused therapy aims to help clients heal from their traumatic experiences, reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and improve their overall quality of life by processing traumatic experiences and learning healthy ways to cope with triggers and stressors.
